About the Newly Elected Officials/Alaska Conference of Mayors—Dec 7-8
At the Newly Elected Officials Seminar (NEO), you will gain insights from other newly elected officials and words of wisdom from those who have been around the block. The NEO Seminar provides information on conducting meetings, reading budgets and financial reports, and regulations and procedures such as Alaska’s Open Meeting Act, Title 29, planning documents, and parliamentary procedure. This is a highly recommended crash course for anyone new to local government or in need of a refresher.
Note: the free NEO online course will cover different content than the in-person seminar. Attendees are encouraged to register for both.
About the Annual Conference —Dec 9-11
The AML Annual Conference is an opportunity for elected and municipal officials to collaborate with peers and learn from local, state, and federal officials in plenary and concurrent sessions.
Conference Costs:
Registration must be paid in full before the registration window closes to receive that rate. Dues-paying AML Members are eligible for a 25% discount on all conference and preconference rates! Email membersupport@akml.org for access to your discount code.
